Momma Bear's Daycare is a state licensed quality family child care home. I work hard to try to provide the best between what one would hope to find find when making a decision between choosing a small family home child care and a larger child care center. My goal is to essentially create the best of both worlds. My first priority and focus is on providing a safe, loving and nurturing quality care experience for children. A home away from home. My early education philosophies are founded on what's developmentally appropriate and supported by the latest evidence-based research.
I believe that every child's future quality of life is greatly related to our investment in their early years.
I beleive that supporting licensed providers is important on many levels. Licensing creates *accountability* which in turn increases SAFE care for ALL children. Supporting licensed and accredited providers raises the bar on quality standards for all child care in general and therefore increases quality for ALL children.
Another important reason to go with a licensed provider is that state licensing requires *every* adult in the child care home to have a HEALTH and CRIMINAL background check. Each home is also inspected both upon initial licensing application as well as annually to guarantee minimum health and safety requirements are being met. Also required iminimum education requirements on health and safety, child development and CPR/First Aid is required for licensing. Licensing doe snot guarantee high quality, but high quality providers support the licensing benefits towards children and their families. Supporting licensed providers provides a ripple effect of continued quality in health and safety for all children in general.
